Hola,
We have just arrived in Puerto Natales and it is FREEZING. At the time of leaving Rapa Nui it was a lovely warm 30+ degrees. Phil and I had visions of ourselves in 40 years time when an old couple sat opposite us at the airport wearing the same shoes, clothes and even watch as us - SCARY.
Best bits of the island;
- Volcanic Crater Lake with floating reed islands,
- Riding around the island on a scooter,
- Moai statues (large stone altars built to honor their ancestors)
- Anakena Beach (Bryce you were right good waves!)
Worst bits
- Phil being fumagated in our hostel room - somehow it was our fault that no one told us??
- Being run down by wild horses while walking up to volcanic crater (had to hide behind a tree to escape)
- Falling off scooter into mud lake
- Incredibly expensive to live and eat apart from fuel which was only USD1 for our entire days trip around the island.
We thought it would be good to give everyone some real life estimates on prices while away. The only commodity worth using was of course Diet Coke.
Easter Island 1.5 l diet coke = 1800 Pesos (approximately USD4.50)
Pictures to come

Did Phil's long wearing undies get fumigated with him? Ha, ha!
